Parenting advice has changed so drastically throughout the years. The extreme of "kids should be seen and not heard" to "kids are the only thing that matter" can leave you wondering what's healthy and what's not.
Join Anna L. Coker, LPCS, LCAS and Kaylee B. Burns, LPCA, NCC, CCMHC from Northeastern Professional Counseling for an interactive and informative workshop on parenting!
Topics will include how to connect with your kids (regardless of age), staying in charge without losing connection, effective communication with your spouse and/or co-parent, motivating your child to make healthy choices, disciplining without losing your cool, setting appropriate boundaries, discovering the heart of your child's behavior, helping children discover their gifts, becoming a family of purpose, and how to handle other hard topics (i.e. blended family issues, bullying, divorce, drugs, alcohol, sex, failing grades, etc.).
